Septic Services and Costs 

We are asked all the time...."what's the service going to cost?" CALL US 512.380.9024 ...usually with a little more information from you and system records we can narrow down the cost.

In-Tank Inspection with Pumping
     
·    Locate and uncover the inspection ports of the septic tank(s) and pump out the contents to inspect for structural integrity.
    
·    Perform a water load test to observe and monitor flow through the system to identify visual flow impediments
    
·   The disposal field will be inspected for visible evidence of surfacing sewage, proper vegetation and surface drainage and exposed pipes.  (Distribution and disposal field lines themselves located beneath the surface are not excavated to look for content or defects)
    
·    All system components: lids, baffles, pumps, alarms, control boxes, spray heads, chlorinator, filters, switch valves, backwash equipment, vacuum breakers will be inspected for visible defects, operability and setbacks.  
    
·    All components will be run in normal mode. If a component is not accessible it will not be inspected. 
    
·    Inspector will issue a written inspection report
      
·    An Open Records Request will be made to the licensing authority. Any records provided by this authority will be attached.

       ** Client ensures water and electricity are on, underground utilities within 10 feet of the tank are marked, tanks are accessible and the pump truck  can drive within 90 feet of the septic tank.  The truck is about the height and width of a UPS truck and cannot make sharp, steep driveway turns. 
 Please communicate when scheduling if there are site restrictions. 
     ** In the event the septic tank(s) are not accessible, located or pumped the inspection cannot be performed. The inspector will write a report noting access issues and charge a $175 service fee.  In addition a $175 minimum truck fee will be charged, this fee covers up to 45 minutes of searching/digging
      ** If the septic tank(s) are located more than 100 feet from the truck and/or 30 feet below grade, additional fees may be charged. These fees will be discussed with the client prior to proceeding. 
      ** A $250 inspection fee will be charged for each additional system or grinder pump on the property that is inspected
      ** An additional $125 inspection fee for greywater system
      ** Reinspection fee is $175-$225
      ** Although pumping to inspect for structural integriy of the tanks is highly recommended, there are times our clients choose not to pump at the time of inspection.  If so, client is responsible for location and uncovering the lids(s) to the septic tank prior to the inspection.  Please let our office know your wishes at the time of scheduling.

         
                 **Cancellation fee of $200 for appointments cancelled without 24 hour notice   

Pumping 
·  Locate and remove dirt off the septic tank inspection port lids (if necessary) and pump the sludge from the septic tank(s)

In scheduling these services, the client grants RAINBOW SEPTIC, INC. permission to enter service address for the purpose of conducting these services. Client acknowledges that the inspetion may involve digging/excavation of soils and driving a large heavy truck on the driveway.  Digging involves risks to underground lines (electric/water/cable/sprinkler) and driving on the property involves risks that the property (driveways, trees) could be damaged.  Rainbow Septic will use ordinary care to avoid causing damage but it is possible that damage will occur.  Client agrees to mark or disclose all underground line and any condition of the driveway that makes it unsuitable to withstand the weight and size of a heavy truck.  By scheduling the services, the client agrees to release Rainbow Septic from any claims arising from damage to unmarked underground lines and driveway.
